Welcome
to the Freewheel Collective Research and Consultancy.
Freewheel is a sustainability, social justice and action research
practice, based in the wild and wonderful landscape of the North Pennines.
We work with individuals, organisations and communities of all kinds to
support learning and change.
Our learning partners and clients say that we bring challenge, safety,
pragmatism, commitment and fun to the projects we are involved in.
Freewheel is a collective of action research practitioners based in the
North of England. One thing we have in common is we have all trained in
action research at the University of Bath CARPP (Centre for Action Research
in Professional Practice), where we continue to improve our ongoing practice.
We have a variety of interests around sustainability - whether it is economic,
environmental , organisational, or personal. At the hub of the Freewheel
Collective is Ruth Townsley, who acts as contact point and co-ordinator
of the collective.
